The Fishing Adventure After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, travel by 18-foot boat for a full day of fly or spin-fishing on the river. Whether you drift and fish the deep holes or wade from the banks, gravel bars or small feeder streams, fishing opportunities are varied and excellent. At noon we stop for a hearty lunch on shore. After a full day of fishing, we return to the lodge for Vera's home cooked dinner and an evening of relaxation. Roger Skogen, your personal guide, has lived year-round in Koliganek and fished the Nushagak River for more than 30 years. He knows the honey holes and fishing hot spots fished by few others on both the Nushagak and Nuyukuk Rivers. Guided remote wilderness fishing float trips for trout, grayling and salmon are offered from mid-June through mid-September. Life vests provided.
